Note: The image of the USS Constitution on the stamp is the oldest known painted image of USSConstitution, attributed to Michele Felice Corne, c.1803, watercolor and gouache. It is owned by the Navy Art Collection, Naval History and Heritage Command, but is on long-term loan to the USS Constitution Museum, Boston.

Anne Grimes Rand, President of the USS Constitution Museum and Mickey Barnett, Vice Chairman of the USPS Board of Governors (from New Mexico) - are the two that unveiled the stamp. Also on the stage (extreme left to right): Mr. Lyle LaCroix, Postmaster, Sturgis, South Dakota - who had won a contest which brought him to this unveiling as an honored guest; Margherita Desy, Historian, NHHC Detachment Boston; CDR Matthew J. Bonner, 72nd USSC commanding officer; Anne Grimes Rand, President, USSCM; Mickey Barnett; Cassius Cash, Superintendent, Boston National Historical Park (the Charlestown Navy Yard is part of BNHP) and James J. Note: Peggy Walsh was unable to attend and was replaced by Ms. Dickerson who works for the US Postal Service, and she sang the National Anthem. It is her autograph that you will see on the program, next to Peggy Walsh's name.
