Scope and Content Note

The emphasis of the papers of Admiral Arthur W. Radford is on his post-World War II service, beginning with duty as Commander-in-Chief Pacific and U.S. Pacific Fleet, 1949-1953. Other material documents Radford's years as Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1953 to 1957 and early post-retirement years.
