Scope and Content Note
This collection contains materials relating to the U.S. military engagement at Vera Cruz, Mexico in 1914 and related events. Specific documentation includes the description of military occupation, including the U.S. Ambassador's report to the Secretary of State (April 21-22, 1914), maps of the port of Vera Cruz (one of which contains U.S. points of interest), and a journal of the Commander of the U.S. Naval Brigade, April 20, 1914. The collection also contains biographical sketches of Vice Admiral Foster and his participation in the event.
