Biographical Note

Lieutenant John H. Kemble worked in the Office of Naval Records and Library during World War II.

 

Scope and Content Note

The first folder in the collection contains correspondence with members of the staff on assignment in other offices. The second folder deals mainly with candidates for Navy Reserve commissions working for OP-29. Much of this collection contains personal experiences and perceptions, and provides an interesting perspective on life as a historian during World War II.
