Scope and Content Note

This collection contains records relating to a Far East cruise of USS Marblehead (CL-12). The purpose of the cruise was a goodwill visit to ports of call in Asia, including Japanese-occupied Indochina, as a show of unity with the British and French in 1939. The collection holds correspondence, memos, cruise log, photos, newsletters, souvenirs, and miscellany.
