Dates: 1943-1945

Collection Number: COLL/219

Scope and Content Note

The contents of this collection were assembled in a single scrapbook by EM 3/c Stroder during his service aboard the USS Cincinnati (CL-6) during the later years of WW-II. Stroder was an avid collector of memorabilia during his tour of duty, and the collection reflects his interest in travel and sightseeing. His official Navy papers are confined to induction, discharge, training certificates (2), and a single document from the Bureau of Naval Personnel (1944). Other items include photos of shipmates (unidentified), and Caribbean area travel spots. Also included in the collection are brochures, handbills, restaurant menus, and small packets of travel photos.
