John Bulkeley Family Papers

Scope and Content Note

This collection is arranged into four folders. The first folder contains various correspondence from the government to Mrs. Bulkeley concerning the internment of her relatives in Hong Kong by the Japanese during World War II. The second folder contains letters from her mother, sister and nieces in the internment camp. The third folder contains letters sent by Mrs. Bulkeley to her relatives. These letters are arranged in chronological order. The fourth folder contains letters from Lieutenant Commander John Bulkeley to "Admiral Jasper Bulkeley", the family cat.
