Biography

Captain Chapman C. Todd, son of Rear Admiral Coleman Todd, was born in 1893 in New York City.  He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and graduated in June 1913.  He attained the rank of Captain in 1940.  

Scope and Content Note

This collection contains a single letter to former Naval Historical Director Admiral Ernest Eller relating Captain Todd's naval service during the 1920-1923 period. Todd explains his experience in ship fire control.
