Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of historical materials relating to Boiler Technician Shanks McEachern's naval service. It includes a small amount of personal and business correspondence (1971-1972), an undated newspaper clipping of McEachern's service on the USS Gladiator, and a copy of Welcome Aboard, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, 1966-1967. The file also contains copies of personnel and transfer forms, travel vouchers, and a commendation relating to his military service.
