Scope and Content Note

The Papers of Lieutenant (jg) Marguerite G. Untermeyer contain materials from her service in the WAVES during World War II. Untermeyer was trained in the WAVE Officers' School at Northampton, Massachusetts, and served in communications with OPNAV in Washington, DC. Among the items in this collection are V-mail, ration books, and various newsletters relating to WAVES, including North American Wren, Number 3, May 1944.
