Scope and Content Note

This collection includes personal correspondence from Commander Philip Yeatman's time as a student at the Virginia Military Institute and the Naval Academy and during his service afloat in World War I. Scrapbooks, notebooks, financial receipts, a diary maintained by a fellow officer in World War I, and some Yeatman family correspondence is in the papers. The bulk of the material dates from 1908-1919.
