Scope and Content Note

Margaret Beasley Pierson graduated from the Naval Reserve Midshipmen’s School at Smith College, Northampton, Mass.  She was commissioned as an Ensign in the Naval Reserve on December 26, 1942, and was then stationed in New Orleans, La.  She attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander in 1946. This collection contains letters, newspaper clippings and certificates related to her WAVES service.
