Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of various correspondence, arranged chronologically, relating to the Battle of Cape Esperance. Of special interest in the collection are two translated Japanese Action Reports from the Japanese War History Office in Tokyo. There are also two copies of navigational chart movements traced from the originals.
