Biographical Note

Alfred D. Boone was born on 15 January 1898 in Perrie, California. He attended San Bernardino High School and graduated on 16 June 1916. He joined the U.S. Naval Reserve Fleet on 10 November 1917. Designated Naval Aviator No. 1618, he served on USS Trippe and Wilkes. After separating from the service, he attended the University of California and Southwestern University. He was admitted to the bar in California and became a partner in the firm of Bigby & Boone. He was appointed to the bench in 1946 and was a Superior Court judge for 20 years. Boone died on 5 February 1972 at Downey, California.

Scope and Content Note

These papers relate to the naval service of Ensign Alfred D. Boone, who was active duty in the United States Naval Reserves Fleet (USNRF). These documents consist of biographical data, orders, personnel letters, high school diploma, report cards, training request, newspaper clippings, certificate, travel forms, and identification cards.
