Detroit Steel & Spring Co., 1887-1901; pres.[ident] and treas.[ury] Detroit Steel Casting Co.: v.p. [Vice President] Mich. telephone Co.; mem. exec. com. & dir Union Trust Co., Ry,. Steel Spring Co.,; dir. State Savings Bank, Parke, Davis & Co., Cleveland Cliffs Iron Co., Union Depot and Station Co., Union Elevator Co. One of organizers Mich. State Naval Brigade, serving as landsman, 1895, lt. and navigator, 1897-8; commd. in US Navy as lt.
