453. Intend to send Commander Mine Force to Malta at an early date as Force Commander’s representative at a conference to consider Mediterranean mining projects. Date of meeting of conference not yet determined,3 but it will be soon. Commander Mine Force should be prepared to proceed on short notice, and may expect to be absent about two weeks. 01224,  453.
