8704 Your 13241 No definite time has been fixed as to length of stay abroad of Naval Committee. Chairman Padgett2 and committeee wish to inspect Naval activities abroad with special view to enable them to study legislative measures needed. Every opportunity should be afforded them to visit in accordance with committee’s wishes. Padgett will outline their particular desires upon arrival and you should acquaint yourself with his views as early as possible. They will not remain abroad longer than necessary to accomplish their mission. I request that every courtesy be extended them.  17018. 8704
