426 Your 7959.1 All transports are given routes in force but there has been difficulty getting reports from French authorities. It was proposed that reports of all vessels sailing from United Kingdom and France together with approach routes assigned should be made to Admiralty for transmission daily to Department. Reports from Gibraltar and other centers are mo <to> be made direct to Department daily. So far as known system is being followed except that reports by French authorities are not complete. Attention of Ministry of Marine was invited to this several days ago. Until the matter is straightened out I will keep Department informed of routes assigned troop transports. <07501.> 426
