3337. It was proposed that reports of all vessels sailing from United Kingdom and France for Atlantic seaboard ports together with approach routes assigned should be made by various route officers in United Kingdom and France direct to Admiralty for transmission daily to Department, reports from Gibraltar and other centres to be made direct to Department. If you consider <it> preferable reports of troop transports together with routes assigned can be sent direct to me for transmission to Department. All other vessels leaving French ports to be reported by route giving officers direct to Admiralty. Please advise decision.
