8882. Hurley No 14 for Foley and Thomas. Following from Shipping Control Committee: Please refer stock report Admiralty fuel oil as reference 1st July shows deficiency compared with agreed reserve of 208 thousand tons increased to 244000 September. British military shipping urge undesirable continue even 50000 double bottom shipments and again ask additional American tank ships. We think we can now spare tonnage for at least occasional trip. What are your views. Signed Hurley. 19022 8882.
