9072. Steamer JESS L. LUCKENBACH will sail New York, N.Y. last of August for Archangel carries Red Cross supplies. From source of information available to you advise Departmen[t] whether in your opinion Russian Government will interpose objection or interfere with this vessel bringing return cargo of flax now at Archangel urgently needed by Bureau of supplies and accounts. 13026. 9072.

Luckenbach can’t be located.” The ship referred to here is almost certainly the Julia Luckenbach, which was requisitioned from the Luckenbach S.S.
