Subject:- Aviation – Report of Weekly Activities.

1.   ENGLAND.

          Nothing of interest to report.

          Naval Aviatiors stationed at various Royal Naval Air Stations continue to make satisfactory progress.

2.   IRELAND.

          Construction work well under way on the four U.S. Naval Seaplane Bases, and it is very probable that these Stations will be complete and ready for operation by the 1 May, 1918.

3.   FRANCE.

     Dunkirk:- Usual enemy air raids with no damage to U.S. property.

          Total number of flights .. .. 18

     Le Croisic:-

          Total number of flights .. .. 21

          Total time     ..   ..  .. .. 18 hrs.23 mts.

     St. Trajan:-   Construction work in progress. Nothing of interest to report.

     Fromentine:-   Lieut-Commander Warren G. Childs, U.S.N., has assumed command of this station. Construction work in progress.

     Paimboeuf:-

          Total number of flights .. .. 8

          Total time     ..   ..  .. .. 44 hrs. 7 mts.

     Ile Tudy:-     Construction work in progress. there are at the present time three U.S. Seaplanes attached to this Station and four French machines which hasve not yet been removed.

     Brest:-   Construction work in progress. Nothing of interest to report.

4.   ITALY.

     Lake Bolsena:-

          Total Number of Flights .. .. 180

          Total time     ..   ..  .. .. 60 hrs.26 mts.

     Nothing of interest to report from other stations.
