5198. Your 6836.1 Assign Lieutenant M B McComb to command USS Christabel2 and to other reports of Officers detached from destroyers and sent to other duties. In view of the large demand for commanding Officers for new destroyers which will soon become pressing Bureau of Navigation requests no further transfer of regular officers be made from Destroyer Force. Bureau of Navigation will send before 1st June 50 officers temporary or Reserve trained in fleet for duty in Patrol Force plus 20 for duty in Destroyer Force. 15322 5198
