Boards Navy 93. To Field from Gay. Following figures give number dead weight and gross tonnage of steamers over 1000 tons under jurisdiction United States Shipping Board as of April 15th. These figures are compli<il>ed from our own sources and are probably nearly complete. Tank ship<s> [i.e., tankers] 155 vessels aggregating 1,196,000 dead weight tons or 801,000 gross tons. Of this dead weight tonnage 89% is suitable for use in war zone. There are 916 ships other than tank ships aggregating 4,634,000 dead weight tons or 3,559,000 gross tonnage. Of this dead weight tons 85% is suitable for War Zone. Recapitulating total number of vessels 1,071 aggregating 5,830,000 dead weight tons or 4,360,000 gross tonnage. Very full detail figures are being mailed. 19002.
