CONFIDENTIAL

1847. URGENT. FORCE COMMANDER proposes to transfer 12 Queenstown destroyers to Brest including 2 of 750 ton type and meet troop convoys from Brest beginning with Group #40. Your recommendation requested of ships to be transferred. Other things being equal have regard for divisional organization. McDOUGAL can be included as one of 12 if Division is taken. Transfer of destroyers to Brest to be completed by 12 June.1  1847
