7466. Marines have Lewis anti-aircraft machine gun company of 7 officers 200 men search-light detachment of 13 officers 400 men anti-aircraft battery of 7 officers 200 men. Search-light detachment has 15 36-inch lights at present but these can be replaced in 5 months with 60-inch. Anti-aircraft battery has 4 3-inch guns but can get 11 more in 2 weeks if given precedence over mine sweepers and destroyers. Do you need all or part of these in connection with modified land aircraft operation. If so what part and for what specific kind of work. If not needed all or any part of above organization can be used elsewhere. 19019. 7466.
