1296 On or about December first it is departments plan if acceptable to Admiralty to start one convoy of about 20 ships destination Italian port for Gibraltar via Azores Islands. Speed of convoy about 200 miles per day. Escort one of U.S.S. DENVER class. Other convoy probably follow in future. 21024.
