2823. If it is desired to take over French yards L’Orient and Rochefort1 it is urgent to give early information of material and facilities required from this country. Gauges of railroad tracks and plans of yards particularly desired. Contracts now under consideration will be affected. Can civil engineers be utilized<?> 15109
