          The acceptance of the Central Powers of arm<i>stice terms <is> an acknowledgement of their defeat and of our victory. The Force Commander extends to all officers and men of the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard service who have served under his command his high appreciation of the zeal, devotion to duty and loyalty which they have unvaryingly exhibited. Glorious pages have been added by the Navy to our country’s history and the high standards and traditions of the United States Navy have been upheld and hallowed. The unconquerable spirit of the Navy turns with equal devotion to the important peace time tasks of the nation and of the world. 162711.
