146 For Admiral Benson. Recommend suspension manufacture and shipment material intended for shipment to Europe for Naval Railway Batteries. This not to apply to manufacture any material intended for experiments or type gun car at home. Suspension shipments to include light projectiles. Upon receiving information from competent Army Authority that Naval Railway Batteries no longer required recommend begin disassembling of batteries and arrange for return United States under following conditions. First locomotives, non technical cars and rolling stock in general be turned over to Army for use in demobilization and for ultimate disposition by them. Second, guns mounts and technical ordnance material to be returned United States. Forces in France may designate, thence home as rapidly as services can be dispensed with 184515 146
