For Benson. URGENT

As far as known no orders have been given stopping dispatching troops. Last H C convoy has no U S Troops, and it is believed that convoy H X-552 which left New York 4th November has none as I have received no report of troops and Admiralty also states they have received none through their sources. <183010,>

Footnote 1: This cable has not been found.

Footnote 2: HC convoys ran from Quebec or Halifax, Nova Scotia, to England; HX convoys ran between New York and the west coast of England. Crowell and Wilson, The Road to France, 463.
