Ship's Log, Allen

MARCH 15,

     Received Sailing Orders No.764, from C-in-C., COAST of IRELAND,1 to get underway at 3:00 p.m., with the U.S.S. TRIPPE and STERETT, and proceed to Patrol Area in the IRISH SEA, to hunt submarines.

     Passed out of harbour at 3:30, and steered various courses along the South Coast of IRELAND, arriving in Patrol Area at 10:30 p.m. Shaped course for BARDSEY ISLAND LIGHT.
