What Christmas Means - The real fact of Christmas is simply that the Son of God, the Promised Redeemer, Jesus Christ, became man and was born into the world. It must seem strange to irreligious men that the greatest day of happiness in this world commemorates a religious event that happened almost 2,000 years ago. No matter what efforts have been made by God's enemies to obliterate Christmas, the attempt has never been successful. War may dim some of the external trimmings of the day; the enemies of religion may prevail for a moment in some small area, but the glory and the happiness which is Christmas always break forth with renewed splendor after the momentary eclipse, Christ's Birthday cannot be hidden - all men must know that He kept His promise and that He came to earth to help men save their souls.
