Personal URGENT for 1st Sea Lord.

Admiral Benson says that from [intelligence] which he describes as absolutely reliable he has information that four German submarines will shortly be operating on this Coast. One of the points will be?Cape Race1 and he asks me whether we are satisfied as to Intelligence Service there and if not suggested sending two American submarines to that vicinity.2
