Scope and Content Note

This collection of historical materials was compiled by the Second Fleet Public Affairs Office and includes printed material on Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Haiti operations, and port visits. Other files in the collection relate to miscellaneous Navy subjects and activities. Among the subjects covered are twin chiefs RMCM (SW) Terry L. Baker and FCCM (SW) Jerry L. Baker, photographs, slides, and negatives of Operations Restore Hope, Sea Signal, Deny Flight, Restore Democracy, Support Democracy, and Uphold Democracy; a Navy-Air Force Harpoon exercise; a USS Iowa plaque dedication ceremony; change of command ceremony; Soviet visit to Norfolk in 1989; a U.S. Navy visit to Severomorsk, Russia, in 1992, and miscellaneous naval subjects and activities.

The photos, slides, and negatives are held by the Photographic Section.
