Very Secret

2238. Your 1628.2 Sailing should be delayed sufficiently so that group will pass rendezvous at least 8 days after previous group. Work is at present organized to escort mercantile convoys and to meet one troop convoy every 8 days. Every effort should be made to have these groups pass the rendezvous on schedule. Delays in arriving at rendezvous wastes effective use of escorts in both bases and embarrasses meeting following convoy. 17518
