A TELEGRAM SENT TO SPAIN BY ADMIRAL MANTOJO, THE COMMANDER OF THE SPANISH FLEET AT MANILA, THE DAY BEFORE THE BATTLE OF MANILA BAY. IT READS: “AT DAWN THE ENEMY SQUADRON PASSED BY THE POINT BOLINAO. I AM PREPARED TO RECEIVE IT.”
