29 page photo album and 10 loose oversize prints showing scenes of World War I at land and at sea. Album cover indicates it was either produced or owned by Chief Photographer H.E. Butler, USN. Images include: U.S. Navy railway batteries; U-Boat shelters; Curtiss H-16 seaplane; HMS Vindictive; submarines USS L-3, USS L-11, USS L-10, USS L-4, USS L-9 possibly moored at Portland, England; USS Leviathan (SP-1326); Admiral William S. Benson; Rear Admiral Charles P. Plunkett; many scenes of buildings and weapons ashore; bombs being loaded on an airplane; scenes on board troopships; battleships in formation at sea; underwater explosions; USS George Washington. Album is fragile, many pages have detached from binding, and the cover is loose. Some images have been assigned NH numbers.
