Photographs show Nimitz with various figures of note: Admiral Ernest King, Admiral William Halsey, Jr., President Harry Truman, Eleanor Roosevelt, Lt. John F. Kennedy, Admiral Raymond A. Spruance, Prince Philip - Duke of Edinburgh, South Korean Ambassador Hyun Chul Kim, Lieutenant General Frederic J. Brown. Photographs also show Nimitz as Commanding Officer on USS Augusta (CA-31). Additionally, the collection shows Nimitz visiting USS Nautilus (SSN 571) and presenting / receiving awards after his active duty ended.
