Caption: "A Prince Enthralled: Prince Philip presents a picture of a man displaying intense interest as he views historic mementos with Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz, USN, at University of California Bancroft Library Wednesday, 14 November 1962. One in which the royal visitor showed particular interest was the Drake Plate, commemorating the arrival of Sir Francis Drake in the Golden Hinde in 1579. Prince Philip's tour of the campus included a visit to the Student Union where he greeted Commonwealth exchange students from Ghana, New Zealand and Hyderabad."
