Collection of 21 oversized photographs related to the WWII naval service of John D. Anderson as a “Boot” Company Commander at Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. The images consist of Great Lakes recruit (“boot”) companies from 1942-1945. CSp John D. Anderson is in most of the photos as Company Commander. Each image includes a company roster with member’s names. Below is a listing of each company with the date. Also included in the collection is a photo of Great Lakes Tenth Regiment during a Captain’s Inspection on 30 September 1944.
