The invasion fleet is under way.  On the crowded deck of the LST the men make ready for the landing, giving their rifles and equipment a final going over.  Most of the troops aboard this LST are of a mobile anti-aircraft outfit but there is also a naval demolition unit with their rubber boat for carrying explosives (seen to the right.) Another one is on top of the trailer in the middle of the picture.
