Description: WASHINGTON (April 30, 2014) A 3-dimensional scan generates on a laptop screen as Caitlin Swec, a project engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division, scans the number 24 Howell Torpedo. Lost from the Iowa (BB 4) during a training mission and found by a dolphin in the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program off the coast of San Diego last year, UAB has been conserving the torpedo since May 2013.
