Criccieth

Former name retained.

Criccieth, a tug, was chartered from the British Admiralty, and commissioned at Davenport, England, in April 1918, Lieutenant (junior grade) W. A. Connor, USNRF, in command. She operated with United States Naval Forces, France, in the area of Brest, France, for the next 18 months. Criccieth was decommissioned and redelivered to the Admiralty at Swansea, Wales, on 15 October 1919.
