Description: (American River Steamer, 1901) Photographed at the yard of her builder, Pusey & Jones Company, Wilmington, Delaware, probably at the time of her completion in 1901. Acquired by the Navy on 24 April 1918, she had World War I era service as USS Springfield (ID # 2525) and was returned to her owner on 24 March 1919. The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
