Title: Curtiss training seaplane taxing, circa world war I or shortly post war.
Description: The standard navy training seaplane of world war I, The N-0 was basically a floatplane version of the Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny". This early version had a 100-horsepower Curtiss OXX-6 engine. For advanced gunnery and bomber training more power was required, and the later N-9H was equipped with the 150- Horsepower Hispanosuiza model A with a tapered cowling and large propeller spinner. The twin-float arrangement is unusual; most N-9's had a single center float with two small wingtip floats.
