Title: Delaware River Chevaux-de-Frise
Caption: Photograph of the frame timbers, showing the details of the iron tipped, barbed points dredged from the Delaware river in 1941 but used during the Revolutionary War. Two stackadoes were used in the river, one extending from Billings Island to Billings Fort, the second (a series) extending Hog Island to Red Bank Island Shoal, both located midway between Chester and Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
