Description: (British Escort Aircraft Carrier, 1944) Alongside a pier at Portland, Oregon on 9 February 1944, soon after completion. Commissioned for a few days as USS Perdido (CVE-47), this ship was transferred to the United Kingdom under Lend-Lease at the end of January 1944 and thereafter served in the Royal Navy.
