Description: Photos taken during the service of Aviation Rigger First Class Harry Polunsky 1918-1919, donated by his grandson Stephen. Most images appear to have been taken at NAS Rockaway Beach, Long Island, New York. Aircraft seen include: Curtiss H-16, HS-2L, R-6, R-9, JN-type, HS-2, NC-1. Blimps B-8 and C-1, as well as kite balloons including an Italian one. Ships USS New England (SP-1222), USS Northern Pacific aground in 1919 on Fire Island, USS George Washington (ID# 3018). Underwater bomb explosions. Some photos have been assigned NH numbers.
