Caption: "Dr. Paul Hawley, who was leter[sic] to become President of the Medical Association, presented to the United States Marines as a Major in the Medical Corps of the United States Army. I feel sure that one of these pictures carries that of Major Hawley. Indentifiable at the statue is that of ----- ----. Chief Paramacist French, Lieut, Maudlin, and Dr. Warwick Brown, U.S.N. ----- The other picture which could bear Dr. Hawley, second from the left, includes Dr. Brown and Mauldin."
